Baccarat, founded by a group of passionate artisans, has been creating enchanting worlds and spreading joy since 1764. This Mother’s Day activation, centered around the engraving of Baccarat’s signature crystal butterflies, hearts, and other exquisite pieces, was not only a celebration of fine craftsmanship—it was a deeply emotional experience.
There is a unique power in personalization. Whether through engraving, calligraphy, painting, or leather embossing, these details transform a beautiful object into something meaningful-something lasting. During this event, I had the privilege of creating custom engravings for clients selecting gifts to honor their mothers. The reactions were unforgettable-smiles, tears, quiet gratitude. Some even brought their mothers into the boutique to witness the personalization in person. Those moments were intimate, joyful, and deeply moving—are what make this work so fulfilling to me.

One of the most touching moments from the event was when a guest selected a stunning Baccarat vase as a gift for his wife. But it wasn’t just the piece itself that made the gesture special—it was the delicate butterfly I engraved with the words “I love you.” As he watched the engraving come to life, he shared that she would cherish that butterfly more than anything else he could’ve purchased in the entire store. It was a beautiful reminder that it’s not just the luxury item—it’s the emotion and intention behind it that makes it unforgettable.
At its best, luxury is not just about materials and design, but emotion and connection. Mother’s Day is the perfect occasion to highlight this. Activations like this one show how powerful it can be when a brand invites sentiment and story into the client experience.
